In this opening module, students uncover the foundational truths about their microbiome — what it is, why it matters, and how it shapes everything from digestion to mood to overall vitality. They’ll also learn to separate solid nutritional science from the myths and mixed messages that dominate modern health conversations. Finally, they’ll explore the crucial difference between an elimination diet protocol and food sensitivity testing, gaining insight into when and why each approach is used. This is the module where understanding takes root and direction becomes clear.

Devotional: God has woven knowledge into His creation. When we learn how the microbiome functions, we uncover wisdom hidden for our benefit. Just as Hosea says, “My people perish for lack of knowledge,” so too our health suffers when we ignore God’s design.
Prayer: Lord, bind me to Your truth and wisdom. Loose me from ignorance and every false belief that has kept me from understanding Your design for my body. Help me discern fact from myth as I pursue healing.
Journaling Prompt: What lies or myths about food or health has God shown me I need to release?
Worship/Meditation: Play Great Are You Lord and meditate on God’s intricate design in your body.
Activation: Learn one new fact about gut health this week and connect it to a Scripture truth.
