eLearning Portal Navigation Tips
In this document we would like to give you some tips to help you navigate the membership site with ease and gain all the benefits of being a part of this wellness journey. You can use the instructions below as in-hand instructions. So here goes…
NOTE: The eLearning Portal membership site is set up with a lot of tools to guide and help you get all the benefits that are built into the site. First – log into the site (Site Login) you will be re-directed to the Client Dashboard. This is an important page where you can gather key information about your membership. You should spend some time getting familiar with it (NOTE: You will notice two menus – One at the top with links to site pages, and One on the left with links to important member content). Once you have registered to the membership site (save your credentials in a safe place) you will receive an email with an “Activation” link (check your spam folder and if it isn’t there contact us). Click on it and you will be directed to our website where you only need click the activation button. You can then log in at CHJ Member Login. You can always log into the eLearning Portal membership site here: CHJ Member Login using the credentials you chose when you signed up. Please save your access credentials in a safe place.
NOTE: We appreciate your not sharing your login credentials with anyone who is not authorized access.
The membership site is best viewed using the Firefox browser. However, you can use the Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers and you are able to access the eLearning Portal using your smart phone. You will need a PDF reader to view the module guides and workbooks. The module videos can be viewed right from the eLearning Portal through your browser. If you would like to listen to the courses module guides while away from the member site, you have the ability to download the mp3 (Audio) for the course modules that have them available.
Each course has main modules and topic downloads for that module in the member area. To navigate each individual course you first need to log into the eLearning Portal. Once logged in you will see a “Courses” link in the left navigation menu (click on the closed book icon at the top left of the page to expand this menu). You can also access your profile, account info, the groups you belong to, messages, and notifications (see the notifications bell icon at the top right menu). Please click through the various menu items to get familiar with the site. When you first log into the membership site you should arrive at the member dashboard (if not, click on the top link in the left menu “Member Dashboard“). We suggest you browse through this page as there are a number of valuable links to assist you. The “Resources” link from the top menu contains valuable information for further learning. We will be adding to these and will notify you when available. The blog contains some very nicely researched articles, and we will be sharing many other articles with references to validate their information. The course modules will contain quizzes, assignments, notifications, private discussion group and more. . .
Course Navigation
To organize and keep track of your progress I suggest you create a folder on your computer (can label it the name of the course) and set up folders to house the downloaded materials for each module (giving you quick access to these during the course).
Course Access – Overview
- To access the course modules click on the “Courses” link from the left side menu for your enrolled courses. When you arrive on a purchased “Course” initial page you will first see a green button on the far right just below the “Course Progress” that tells you to “START LEARNING“. Simply click that link to advance to the course “Menu” page. You will then be at the “Welcome” page for that course…
- From this page you can begin the course progression (you can see your progress from the information on the top right. NOTE: You will notice an “Overview” and “Comments” menu at the top and links at the bottom to progress or go back to the previous module. The subscription courses are set up to progress at a sequence for that course (you won’t be able to access the next module until the time of sequence is completed)…
- On the page you will be able to read through the module information and, once completed, click the bottom right button labeled “Next” to move to the next module, or the “Previous” button to move back. . .
- You may see PDF documents, MP3 audio files, ZIP files, Spreadsheet documents (XLS) (if you don’t have MS Excel: View spreadsheet documents here) and URL links to other pages. Download each item in the download list and click through to any URLs (these always open in a separate page – so you can easily return to the module page to continue).
- Once you have downloaded ALL of the items on that page (and clicked through to any URLs), you will be able to advance to the next module.
NOTE: Some modules have and assignment, a workbook, check list, assessment or some other document as a download list item on the module download page. Download, open and complete these documents and upload that document back using the “Assignment Upload” section at the bottom of the “Help Hesk” page. I suggest you create a folder labeled “Uploads” and download your assignments to this folder. Then you can upload from this folder by keeping all these files in one place. Navigate to your file using the “Select File” link and click the blue “Upload File” button on the help-desk page. Use this file upload block to upload the completed document from your computer for our review before that module is complete.
My suggestion is to just click around to get familiar with how the site is set up…
If you do have any questions, after completely reading this Readme- First.pdf document and can’t find the answer here, please do contact us using the “Support & Community” link from the top menu within the course online.
